Quarter panels get easier when you break them into sections. This video works a silver 2001-2008 Audi A4 from the body line out, one section at a time.
Steps
- Roll the material out and tack it.
- Glass it out in both directions so the body line can go down.
- Lock the body line in.
- Work down from the center: glass a section, lock it in, and work your way in.
- Then start working your way out toward the edges.
- Reglass the bottom, then work up, glassing as you go.
Tips
- Get the body line down first. It anchors the rest of the panel.
- If the bottom isn't sitting right, lift it and reglass it rather than forcing it down.
- Small sections are easier to control than the whole panel at once.
