How does Aura compare to 3M and other premium brands?
Aura is built around finish quality at a better price. Our vinyl uses PET backing for a smoother, flatter look with far less orange peel — comparable to 3M High Gloss at a fraction of the cost.
Under the hood: a cast polymer blend in a hybrid manufacturing process, plus German-made adhesive for better pliability, easier repositioning, and fewer glue lines. Installers coming from calendared film report a much better finish; cast-only installers may need minor technique tweaks covered in our install guides.

How long does Aura vinyl wrap last?
Per our FAQ, well-maintained Aura vinyl is expected to last 3–5 years when it is:
- Washed at least twice per month with vinyl-safe care products
- Not constantly exposed to the sun
- Ceramic coated after install
Sun exposure is the main durability factor — garaged or shaded vehicles last longer. Hyper PPF has an expected lifespan of 6–10 years with proper care.
Why does wrap fail early — and how do I avoid it?
The most common cause of premature vinyl wear is improper maintenance. When wrap fades, stains, lifts, or discolors within the first year or two, it is almost always because care instructions were not followed — not because the film was defective.
Key requirements from our care guide:
- Apply Aura ceramic coating before the wrap ever sees the sun
- Hand wash at least every two weeks — never drive-through car washes
- No carnauba wax, solvents, tire shine, or aggressive pH soaps
- Remove bird droppings and tree sap promptly
- Use products from our Wrap Care collection

Vinyl wrap vs Hyper PPF
